On the 18th of August 1988 Mrs Nellie Ahmed Tanweer started Maria Montessori House of Children with one child. It has grown over the years and today Maria offers girls and boys from the plus 2 age to class XII opportunities in educational development.

The objective of the school is to provide an educational climate which will help its students to cope with the modern world. Besides striving for academic excellence a wide range of activities are provided to enable the students to develop their creative talents. The school lays stress on imparting value education as it believes that it is important for the students to have a strong moral background. Great emphasis is also given to discipline, good bearing and polite conduct.
